The Registrar, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur shall be the Competent Authority for admissions.
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree is comprised of a course of study consisting of five and half complete professional years including a compulsory internship of “one year” duration undertaken after successful completion of all credits as prescribed in the syllabus.
Bachelor of Fisheries Science degree course consisting of curriculum and syllabus spread over four complete academic years including Student READY Programme.
B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree course consisting of curriculum and syllabus spread over four complete academic years including Student READY Programme..
A candidate shall be admitted to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course who have passed XIIth Std. in 10+2 pattern or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for Unreserved category and 47.50% marks in case of Reserved category candidate.
XIIth Std. passed in 10+2 pattern or an equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together for Unreserved category and 40% marks in case of Reserved category candidate.
XIIth Std. passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English taken together for Unreserved category and 40% marks in case of Reserved category candidate.
The admission of candidate to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course shall be made on the basis of his / her merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG-for that academic year) conducted by National Testing Agency, New Delhi.
The candidate should have appeared for Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET for that academic year) conducted by State CET Cell, Mumbai. The admission of candidate to B.F.Sc. degree course shall be made on the basis of his / her merit of MHT-CET marks.
The candidate should have appeared for Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET for that academic year) conducted by State CET Cell, Mumbai. The admission of candidate to B.Tech. (D.T.) degree course shall be made on the basis of total percentile score obtained in MHT CET examination for that academic year.
English shall be the medium of instruction & examination for all the three degree courses offered at Maharashtra Animal and fishery Sciences University, Nagpur.
The candidate should have completed minimum 17 years of age on or before 31st December of that year.
A candidate shall not be allowed admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course if he or she suffers the following disabilities, namely:-:
University Quota seats - 70% seats of University quota at each constituent college shall be filled in as regional quota (R-quota) as per regional merit list while remaining 30% of the seats of total intake capacity shall be filled as state quota (S-quota) as per common state merit list prepared by the University.
VCI Quota seats - 15% of total intake capacity of each Veterinary College shall be filled in by Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi through its independent admission procedure.
J & K and Ladakh UT Quota seats - One seat over and above the intake capacity at each Veterinary College shall be filled from the wards of citizens displaced due to terrorist activities from Jammu & Kashmir Union Territories and Ladakh Union Territories and also from the wards of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Services and other officers and staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories to deal with terrorist activities as per Govt. Resolution No.AGU-2095/23106/CR-181/19-a, dated. 5th September, 1996 and No.AGU /1197/28688-CR-94/97/19-a, dated 27th October, 1997.
Goa Quota seats - Five seats over and above the intake capacity at Mumbai Veterinary College, Mumbai; Four seats at KNP College of Veterinary Science, Shirwal and Two seats at College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Parbhani for B. V. Sc. & A.H. Degree Course are reserved for Goa State candidates.
NRI/FN/PIO/OCI Quota seats - Total 10 seats over and above the intake capacity of B. V. Sc. & A.H. Degree Course are reserved for NRI/FN/PIO/OCI candidates.
Orphaned Candidate: 1% seats will be filled in from the total intake capacity as per GR dated: 11/07/2019
