Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Science, University, Nagpur established the Faculty of Lower Education (LE) on February 10th, 2002 and as per the provision of Act 1998, Chapter VI, Affiliation & Recognition, Section 36, 37 & 38 for imparting lower education in animal husbandry & fishery subjects through private recognized institutes in all over Maharashtra state. Presently two years “Livestock Management & Dairy Production” (LMDP) diploma course in Marathi language for SSC passed candidate’s running through recognized private Institutes. This diploma course has been started with a view to start self-employment and to create the semi technical supporting manpower in livestock sector. Online admission for first year carry out by Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in all affiliated /recognized diploma schools of this course.
The head quarter of LE is at MAFSU, Nagpur and seven regional constituent colleges of this University are coordination centres for controlling activities of lower education diploma course.
