Extension is an important pillar of the University imparting farm based education. The production oriented innovative technologies developed through research are completed only when these technologies are effectively transferred to the farming communities and other end users for their benefits. Under an umbrella of the Directorate of Extension Education the work of the field extension education activities is mainly carried out through the Directorate and the constituent colleges/institutes/ KVK's of the University. By imparting skill based trainings for strengthening the entrepreneurial activities in the rural areas, the directorate is actively involved in the training and capacity building initiatives for the professionals, farmers, women and the unemployed youth across the state. Extension is striving to bring the changes through modern technology adoption in animal husbandry, dairy technology and fisheries for sustainable development and improved productivity for the farming communities.
